Paul has worked for nearly three decades at the intersection of technology and healthcare with a passion for innovation. He has led teams at a country, regional and global level focused on understanding how to design and implement appropriate commercial strategies in response to changing healthcare market dynamics across the world.
Previously, he served as the CEO of Genomics Enterprises where he led the commercial agenda for the 100,000 Genomes Project at Genomics England. In this role he created a pharma & biotech industry consortium (GENE) helping to ensure the delivery of one of the core aims of the project, i.e. increased insight and understanding leading to new treatments and diagnostics for patient benefit. He was also intimately involved in ensuring the stimulation of private sector investment and commercial activity around genomics in the UK.
Prior to this role, Paul led the Global Life Sciences Practice at Cisco Consulting Services where he advised pharma and biotech companies on the use of technology to drive commercial innovation. In the past he has also held senior positions with IMS Health, Novartis Pharmaceuticals and PwC Consulting.
Paul has first degree majoring in physiology, an MBA and holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Marketing.
