Pirates of Oncology
Gary Acton studied medicine at Oxford and London Universities, in the old days when study meant exactly that. He subsequently held a number of oncology appointments within London teaching hospitals.
For the past two decades he has been involved in cancer medicine within the biotechnology industry. He has worked on some of the most innovative drugs of the era and has been associated with most areas of the molecular revolution. He has extensive experience of cancer therapeutic development in Europe, the US and Japan.
He has served at board level in a number of biotechnology companies and is a highly sought after consultant in the field of experimental cancer medicine.
He lives in the countryside, in an attempt to avoid hand held devices, with Heathrow Airport as a second home.
